Safe Route is a rail sector specialist with a proven track record of providing protection in trackside and station environments. Safe Route products help increase possession, reduce the number of interfacing trades, and provide a safe, efficient, and versatile solution to public protection without impeding interface areas.
Safe Route is accepted by LUL and Network Rail as a supplier of both sub and above ground products. Its systems are fire rated to provide up to 240 minutes of fire protection as determined by BS 476 Part 22. Their modular design allows fast installation in limited engineering hours and their lightweight components require a maximum 2-man lift. With a high volume of passing passengers, their clean white surfaces provide excellent space for signage, branding and advertising.
Construction projects in the rail sector can be assisted by Safe Route products in a number of ways.
Tunnels maintain safe customer access to facilities and services in the station. The Tunnels can be made into working platforms, so work at height can continue whilst pedestrians stay protected below.
The hoarding system will section construction work off from the public and create clean surfaces for advertising whilst work takes place behind it. If required, fire compartmentation can be maintained within a complex fire plan during construction activity.
Safe Route rooms provide emergency storage or office space where existing spaces are compromised by activity. A modularised, flat pack approach to formation of the spaces is provided to combat logistical constraints and engineering restrictions
All three systems are flexible, fire-rateable, and reusable.
