July 2007

Initial concept developed during construction fit out at St Pancras International Station. Safe Route incorporated 11th July.

July 2007

Prototype design accepted by ARUP, LFEPA (London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority) and authorised for use at St. Pancras International Station.

September 2007

First installation of Safe Route product in circle retail at St Pancras International Station. Approx 100m of fire-rated modularised pedestrian protection tunnel system.

May 2008

Pedestrian tunnel solution provided to Skanska at the King’s Mill Hospital in Mansfield. Used as a temporary corridor lining during upgrade works of existing hospital corridor and services infrastructure.

December 2010

Safe Route T P modularised pedestrian tunnel system design is accepted by London Underground and Network Rail for use on Cannon Street Station.

January 2011

Safe Route is accepted onto the UKTI Passport to Export programme.

February 2011

Safe Route International Limited is incorporated. Initial export Territories included North America, UAE and Australasia.

May 2011

Safe Route fire-rated systems are successfully tested at the Building Research Establishment, Watford. Initial target fire integrity of 120 minutes was exceeded and stopped at 246 minutes.

June 2011

Safe Route H F 120-minute fire-rated modularised hoarding system successfully installed at Kings Cross Underground Station.

October 2011

Safe Route R P safe room successfully installed at Scottish Widows HQ Reading, Berkshire.

December 2011

Safe Route T P modularised pedestrian tunnel system successfully installed at Birmingham New Street Station.

February 2012

Safe Route award exclusive sale and hire to A-Plant.
